YOUR FIRST PHP FILE
Php is a script language and you need a server in order to make your php files. It is many ways to set the server to support php. I recommend you use an Apache server. You can get the files for installing Apache here. And you can get the php installation here.

When you have a server that support php to work with, you call your file something like filename.php, and write the php code like illustrated below.

<?php
//wite the php code inside such tags
?>

Example on a php file you can copy and paste into your own.
